The most important way of mentally preparing yourself for your appointment at Bella Veil is knowing how much money you want to spend and sticking with it. If this means only looking at dresses within your budget then that's what we'll do!
We understand that budget is important and we want to help you find the perfect dress within your means. We are here to listen and guide you through this process. We have a large selection of beautiful gowns at various price points so there is something for everyone! Some of our brides even like to mix and match pieces from different designers to create their own unique look.
Research dresses and read reviews.
The first thing you should do is look at pictures of dresses that you like, and understand that bridal sizing can be different than regular clothing.
Another great way to start shopping is by doing research—look up reviews from other brides who bought their gowns from Bella Veil Bridal so that you know what kind of experience they had when buying their gowns.
When you’re ready to order your wedding gown, we will take all of your measurements and order a dress that fits perfectly. If you need alterations, we have an extensive list of preferred seamstresses who have worked with us in the past.
Keep your group small.
It's important to bring a few close friends and family members you trust. Don't bring more than 4-6 people, though; otherwise it gets too crowded and chaotic. Also, don't bring anyone who is going to be negative or make you feel bad about yourself. And lastly, don't bring anyone who is going to try to talk you out of a dress you love!

Don’t be afraid to try on something you wouldn’t normally wear. The best way to find your dress is by being open minded, and not trying the same styles over and over again. Size doesn't really matter ;)
When it comes to ordering your dream dress, the sample size really won't matter too much! We really encourage brides to not worry if your trying on a sizes larger than what you normally wear, bridal sizing is based on European size charts and not our actual American street size. We will always take your measurements to ensure the best fit possible in your wedding dress! We also think you're perfect the way you are, so don't worry about "shredding for the wedding" we got you girl!
Don't eat a huge meal prior to arriving.
It's best not to eat a huge meal prior to shopping. You don’t want to be uncomfortable or feel bloated while trying on dresses—you want the experience of trying on dresses and finding one that you can be comfortable in!
Work WITH your stylist. We want you to be happy.
We want you to be happy with your dress and that's why our stylists are so helpful. They're there to help guide you through the process, so trust their advice! We also have a lot of experience in helping women find their dress. If you are unsure about something, don't be afraid to ask questions before making any decisions.
